The Memphis native, Ashley Ave., is an upcoming music artist that is not afraid to demonstrate her skills on the mic.
Recently, she dropped her latest single “I Wonder”. Her soothing vocals are similar to Jhené Aiko, H.E.R., Ella Mai, etc.
As a child, the inspiring singer would use music as a distraction from obstacles that her family would often face.
“There are a lot of things that inspire my perspective from which I speak. My own heart breaks and hardships are obviously points of reference but I grew up seeing my mom go through a lot, Sometimes the worst actually”, says Ashley.
In the future, Ashely Ave. plans on creating a non-profit organization to create a positive community in regards to mental health. In the black community, many fail to create a safe space on that specific controversial subject.
